I grew up playin’ lax in Whitby, Ontario.  Same home town as some other big time lacrosse stars, Gavin Prout, A.J. Shannon, Gee Nash to name a few.  Played box lax most of my life with a little bit of field mixed in there for good measure.  It wasn’t until the 2003 U-19 World Championships that my college lacrosse hopes really started to take off.  Like any kid at that time I had to make some tough decisions, but they have all seemed to pay off.  I met some unbelievable people over my four years at Duke and had a ton of great times on the lax field.  Last year at Bryant was also a beauty of a time.  I received my MBA in three semesters and again ran into a number of great people.  The best part of the whole college lacrosse experience is the people you meet, it’s these types of relationships that are going to last.

Since then I’ve moved onto a new chapter, the life of a professional lacrosse player.  Playing in Long Island this past summer was another good experience for me, again having lots of good times.  Now I’ll be suiting up for the Minnesota Swarm of the NLL this winter season, something I’ve really been looking forward to, being away from the box game for awhile.  I have also just signed a deal to work with Reebok lacrosse.  Another unbelievable opportunity for me as I’m getting to work with some of the best people in the business. greer2

I’ve had unbelievable support from family and friends throughout my life and can’t thank them enough.  I have three brothers and three sisters, two of which still play the game.  My sister Kalley won the Bronze medal this summer in the Women’s World Games over in Prague, as the goalie for Team Canada.  My Brother Bill is a member of the NY Titans of the NLL and also just won the Mann Cup with the Brampton Excelsiors.  My late father Dan taught us everything we know, and my mother Irene has been unbelievable as well.
